Red Apple Farm was founded in 1912 and was purchased in 1929 by Carolyn and A. Spaulding Rose. The farm is currently carried by its fourth generation, Al and Nancy Rose. Mount Grace helped the family in 2007 to place a CR on around 103-acre woodlands neighboring their orchards. The advocate for land protection in and around Phillipston is Bill Rose. He has helped Mount Grace to generate many successful projects with neighbors around the farm area. 

The farm has more than 100 employees who have been helping the Rose family expand the business from Phillipston to Wachusett Mountain. There they operate The Core in the Main Base Lodge and Bullock Lodge Cider House. Rose has also taken the farm store in the popular Boston Public Market.

Easter’s Great Gathering

They host numerous fairs, festivals, and events for their customers every year. In April or May, the farm organizes “Easter’s Great Gathering” to celebrate the easter event traditionally. 

This free event is hosted by various charities in Phillipston and the activities include children and adult egg hunting, baby farm animals, brunch with the Easter Bunny, and many more. Visit with your friends and family on the day before Easter Sunday to capture more fun moments. 

Blueberry Jamboree

Red Apple Farm organizes a summer special pick-your-own blueberry event every year on the 3rd and 4th weekends of July. Thanksgiving Harvest Festival

In November, Red Apple Farm arranges a Thanksgiving event where all the local businesses and family farms gather around to present all the best fixings. What Does Red Apple Farm Grow? 

The farm grows a variety of seasonal fruits and veggies including apples, pears, peaches, gourds, winter squash, potatoes, popping corn, blueberries, raspberries, Indian corn, and sunflowers. You can go and visit the farm for the pick-your-own from early July to October. For the sunflower pickup, visit the farm in mid-August.
